The Italian packaging machinery industry heads to Moscow for RosUpack
The countdown has begun to the 21st Russian packaging industry exhibition RosUpack, which will be held in Moscow from 14 to 17 June.
Italy is taking part with a delegation of 6 companies organised by Ucima, which will have its own institutional stand.
The industry-leading companies Ilpra, Goglio, Schmucker, Sipa, Omet and Magic Mp will be exhibiting in an approximately 130 square metre area in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre.
Despite its contraction over the last two years, the Russian market continues to be a strategic outlet for the Italian packaging machinery industry.
In 2015 Italian companies shipped machinery worth 116.5 million euros to Russia out of total imports of 509 million euros, making Italy the second largest exporter to Russia after Germany.
Based on Ucima estimates, sales of Italian packaging machinery in Russia are expected to increase by 0.4% over the period 2015-2018.
