The Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association will take part in the exhibition to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from March 4 to 6
A Vietnamese mission for Ucima, the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association, which will take part in the Propack Vietnam exhibition to be held in Ho Chi Minh City – c/o the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SEEC) – from March 4 to 6.
The exhibition, now at its ninth edition, represents the most important international event of the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industry in Vietnam. The 2013 edition witnessed a 20% increase in the exhibition area and in the number of participants, coming from 36 countries. The number of visitors increased too (7,556).
Two important companies will directly take part in Propack Vietnam besides Ucima, which will be an institutional presence: IMA Industries and Concetti Group.
IMA Industries (IMA Group) is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of automated equipment for packaging tea, coffee, beverages and sweets, and for processing and packaging foodstuffs, cosmetics and toilette products. It includes six companies and divisions: Tea & Coffee Division, Gima SpA, Gima TT Srl, Corazza SpA, BFB Division, and Revisioni Industriali Srl.
Concetti Group specializes in the manufacturing of equipment for weighing, packing into sacks, sealing and palletising loose products. It has been operating since 1975 in the field of basic and detailed engineering, proposing tests for specific products and problems, design, and estimates for customized solutions, assembly and pre-delivery inspection.
The Ucima Study Centre has found that the Italian export of packaging equipment to Vietnam increased by 12.3% from 2011 to 2012, for an overall value of 33.4 million euro and a market share of 21.4%: also in the first nine months of 2013, Italy remains the second-largest exporter of automated equipment in Vietnam. For this reason, the Association has thought that organising the participation of an Italian enterprise in this important event was a strategic choice.
